Something else must be wrong then, cause i'm using the latest version available for Snow Leopard (build 4000).
I was including that when I said “older versions”, but I have a Python script that should be able to simulate update checks from various older versions.
Checking as if I had build 4000 on OS X 10.6.8, it tells me 4000 is the latest version.
If you want to send me your IP (privately), I can check the logs and see why it might be advertising the wrong version to you.
