That just goes over Dash’s URL scheme, which is exactly [how the Quicksilver plug-in][1] (and I assume other apps) interact with it.

I still havent't tried to compile it though. Could you tell me if with it, you can right-arrow in the doc sets much like in TextEdit's recently opened
files?

If you mean the Quicksilver plug-in, it lets you right arrow into Dash to see a list of DocSets. You can’t right arrow into the DocSets though.
