I upgraded to 1.5.3 and did see a noticeable drop in "hangs" and overall
lagginess of the application. However, there are still instance of
intermittent slowness / unresponsiveness / rainbow spinner.

How can I track down the issue ? Are there sys logs or other logs which
would be useful in pinpointing the problem(s) ??
