Did you mean to say it “does not” show the **Search For…** action?
I've entered entering a Custom Web Search option in the Web Search
List
"https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=***&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8",
but don't seem to be able to point to this when entering text in the
first
interface pane, thus allowing "Search For..." as an available command.
When you create your own web searches, you should be able to specify
both a Name and a URL. You should be able to locate the web search by
typing part of its name.
It sounds like either the name you assigned to the search doesn’t
contain `GOOGLE`, or it’s just not the default when you search for
those letters. That is, Quicksilver’s catalog has both a bookmark to
google.com from your browser and the web search for Google. Try
scrolling through the results with the arrow keys. Your web search
should be there somewhere.
FYI, save yourself some time and just type `GG` to find Google, or even
just `G`. You might have to use the arrow keys to select the right thing
a few times, but after just a couple of uses, Quicksilver should learn
what you meant and make the web search the default match for whatever
you type. See https://qsapp.com/manual/Introduction/#selecting-items
