That's what I thought it was supposed to do, but it doesn't, unless
"do something" means try to paste something into an open file. In its
present state it's virtually unusable.

Two things I didn't mention in my earlier query. On the set-up I was using
when I posted originally I have a second monitor, so it wasn't too clear
where the "edge of the screen" is, but wherever I tried I got the same
result. Today I'm using the same computer without a second monitor, but
it's the same. The other point is that I have my dock in a column at the
left, not along the bottom of the screen. Should that make a difference?

I don't know what version of Quicksilver I have. If I select About
Quicksilver I get a three columns of Chinese, plus some readable text in
a very small typeface that says  ß61 (3900) ©2001-2011. Nothing that
resembles 1.6.1.
