** * Title QA Test Lead Type: Contract to Hire Location: Buffalo, NY Duration: 6+ months Description · Responsibilities - Participate or provide oversight in gathering requirements, developing test plans and strategies, and developing and / or reviewing · test scripts with test team. Assign test engineers to project activities. Work closely with developers, understanding code coverage. · Provide project test status and progress reports to IT Lead, and work with development configuration management. · Manages QA Test teams on a project basis · Act as test lead on enterprise strategic projects and major business projects and other test related activities as required. · Promote collaborative application life cycle development and adherence to Technology and Corporate Standards, Project · Management Methodology (PMM), Systems Development Methodology (SDM), and Sarbanes Oxley compliance. · Oversee obtaining and scheduling appropriate on/offshore test resources. Perform project test team reporting and administrative duties. · Evaluate and provide recommendations for test tools and quality assurance test process improvements. Participate in developing · strategic departmental test services processes. Create test metric reports and manage defects. · Base Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or in lieu of degree, four to five years relevant experience in computer science or testing services. · Minimum five years experience in testing and project management. · Test management tool experience preferred. · Technical Skills - Experience in defect tracking tools. · Good understanding of System Development Life Cycle. · Excellent PC skills. · Strong understanding of Technology Application Architectures/Languages. · Working knowledge of Technology Infrastructure & Information Security. · Soft Skills - Ability to effectively work with client personnel in various organizational positions · Excellent time management and organizational skills; detail-oriented. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Feel free to call me if you need additional information.
