Description

·         Leads and Coordinates the elicitation and documentation of the
project’s requirements. The Technical Business Analyst is an expert in
identifying and understanding problems and opportunities. This includes the
ability to articulate the needs that are associated with the key problem to
be solved or opportunity to be realized.

·         The Technical BA may be asked to review test plans, test cases,
and test results for validation and feedback

·         BA is expected to handle multiple (3-4) projects simultaneously
and manage each effort within the target dates.

·         Strong verbal and written communications as well as proactive
communication skills are critical.

·         Participation in team meetings will be required.

·         A positive attitude and an outgoing personality are desired

*Qualification   *

·         *Current/Previous work experience at AdvancePCS, Caremark, CVS,
Pharmacare or RxAmerica*

*Position Summary        *

·         Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT
organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.

·         Assist in business process redesign and documentation as needed
for new technology.

·         Analyze business partner's operations to determine opportunities
to automate processes and functions if applicable.

·         Translate high level business requirements into functional
specifications for the IT organization and manage changes to such
specifications.

·         Identify business, operational and technical tasks, scope, time
constraints and task interdependencies.

·         Lead walkthroughs of business requirements.

·         Works as a project team member on multiple projects to facilitate
process improvements (operational and technology centric) involving multiple
sites or business areas, often as a project leader.

·         Coaches and mentors more junior staff

*Duties  *

·         Responsible for end-to-end ownership of projects and project
planning activities in area of expertise and/or concurrent multiple for
assigned team.

·         Participate in program design and code walkthroughs.

·         Review test plans and results providing guidance with the
development of test plans to assist the business with development of user
acceptance criteria.

·         Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business area to resolve
problems on an ongoing business.



* Business Solution Scope and Requirements Definition:

(a) Understands the implication of the business goals and priorities to
drive the definition of scope of functionality and is able to identify any
related cross enterprise impacts;

(b) Optimize scope focusing on critical requirements defining and developing
business requirements using techniques such as functional decomposition,
business process re-engineering / mapping, and logical data modeling;

(c) Assess the gaps between the “as is” and desired “to be” to identify
alternative solutions; and

(d) Document requirements and clarify business requirements to IT and
subsequently confirm they are met throughout the SDLC.

* Project Planning Management and Business Solution Assurance:

(a) Manage the planning and requirements definition process for key IT
initiatives;

(b) Improve project quality - facilitate developing the right solution for
the right price by understanding functional processes and critical business
objectives;

(c) Facilitate business benefit definition and resource requirement
estimation; and

(d) Manage project scope to minimize risk and maximize probability of
successful delivery.

* Provide thought leadership and insight to proposed IT solutions:

(a) Research opportunities and appropriate business application of where
emerging and enabling technologies may be exploited to grow the capabilities
of the business;

(b) Consider the technical solution in relation to evolving trends in
technology as well as Caremark’s environment and direction.



*Experience      *

·         Minimum of 6+ years IT experience with focus on process
methodologies and analytics.

·         Experience with Business Process Mapping; IT Project Planning,
Definition and Management; IT Business Requirements Definition using
structured methodologies and toolsets.

·         Ability to produce concise, clear, and complete business
requirements.

·         Ability to prepare and deliver organized and understandable
presentations to medium or large groups.

·         General expertise in the functional aspects of the processing
system.



*Education       *

Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business
Administration required, MS or MBA preferred. High School Diploma or GED is
a requirement for ALL Jobs
