*Mainframe A&E Consultant* *Location: District of Columbia* *Duration: 6+ Months* *Need only GC and USC.* *Required Qualifications: * · Typical candidates will possess 5+ years of relevant experience and BA/BS Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent experience · Requires knowledge and experience in multiple disciplines within the mainframe domain as well as application design and development knowledge · Uses best practices and understanding of internal and/or external business issues to improve service. · Has excellent analytical skills and able to resolve most issues independently, analyzing solutions using judgment, knowledge and prior experience; develops a new perspective using existing solutions · Excellent written and communication skills. Must be able to clearly and concisely document standards and procedures for various tasks needed to be performed by the user community. *Required Technical Skills:* · IBM Websphere MQ experience on System Z · Experience with implementing and supporting MQ queues and cluster configurations · Experience with managing MQ resources · CICS Transaction Services · CICS Products and Tools: CICS Interdependency Analyzer, CICS Explorer and Omegamon for CICS · Experience with CPSM and CICS Plex environments · Experience with IBM Omegamon for CICS · Strong understanding of designing and implementing CICS web services · Network protocols, VTAM, APPC, FTP and TCP/IP · Good understanding of mainframe security products such as ACF2. · Experience with High Level Assembler, HLASM toolkit and debugging tools such as Intertest and Xpeditor. LE, DumpMaster and SVC dump debugging skills. · Experience with the software change management solutions such as CA Endevor to control and automate application development cycle.
