Responsibilities: * Lead new and existing ETL applications and along with enhancements to infrastructure. * Perform hands-on coding while designing and architecting ETL solutions using Pentaho. * Serve as a liaison to internal customers, research groups and various business support areas. * Provides technical guidance to junior programmers and other software engineers. Skills and Knowledge: * Excellent understanding of ETL principles and concepts * Leadership and ability to guide design and technical meetings * Must have passion for development * Superior organization skills, skilled at recognizing priorities and keeping a team focused most important features * Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. * Ability to troubleshoot and maintain mid-level to complex applications. Experience: * 6+ years of proven experience in Pentaho software development and system maintenance. * Demonstrated experience interacting with databases such as Db2 and Sql Server * Experienced at developing elegant-yet-simple Pentaho systems using best practices and design patterns * Proficient experience and understanding in the following technologies: Pentaho, ETL principles, Core Java, Javascript, Database concepts, Git or BitBucket. * Ability to learn and adapt to continuously changing technology. * Highly experienced at leading teams, driving application testing and ensuring data quality.
