*Sr. .NET Developer with Bigdata* *Location: SFO, CA* *Duration: 4 months (may be more)* *No of positions: 2* *JD:* Mandatory skills – the person must be STRONG in each discipline and will have to explain in detail · Developing applications using C#. · Using ASP.NET <http://asp.net/> Web API to develop web services. · Developed software in SCRUM environment using Agile methodologies. · Should be good in writing backend web service · Should have good experience in *big data, SQL Server, and Cassandra* (would be excellent!) · Minimum 1+ years ASP.NET <http://asp.net/> MVC stack · Minimum 1+ years of experience with popular JS frameworks like Angular, Backbone or React · Minimum 2+ years working with JSON/XML and RESTful APIs in a production environment · Solid understanding of object-oriented programming techniques (Inheritance, interfacing, extensions, etc). · Solid understanding of HTML5 specs, browser shortcomings/differences, and polyfills · Solid understanding of CSS syntax, Responsive design · Solid understanding of Bootstrap CSS components and how/when to use each · Personality · Need folks that can dig in the code and get right to work, following Verisk’s framework · Should be less dependent and more independent · Passion for the programming but concentration on user experience / frontend and learning the plethora of information out there · You have a solid general understanding of application components, what happens on the front end, what happens on the back end and how they communicate · You’re a professional.
