In case you are not interested, it will be nice to let your friends know of this position who may be a potential fit. *Hadoop Architect* *Location: Bridgewater, NJ* Primary Responsibilities: · Design Configurable solutions, POC and ability to present facts to Stakeholders and COE Architecture team for approvals, provide directions to development team to Implement final design and Optimize design as needed during ongoing development & Document throughout the design/POC process · Experience in: · Custom Talend/PIG Scripting/Java jobs to ingest, enrich and distribute data in a Hortonworks Hadoop ecosystem · File, Source and record level data quality checks · Logging and Error Handling · Job & workflow scheduling - Oozie · Unix scripting · ACL - Setup Group level access in Hadoop. · HBase, Hive – SQL, Tables and Views · Hadoop Folder, Processing and Storage Components · Security around data at rest in Hadoop/Kafka and inflight transactions. · Optimize framework/code for Performance · Compare data across data storage locations: from files/HBase, to Hive, to traditional relational databases · provide technical directions within an agile team, including supporting story creation and maintenance, create right-sized technical documentation, support scrum and project meetings and status reporting · Leverage existing frameworks and standards, while contributing ideas to or resolving issues with current framework owners - where no framework or pattern exists, create them · Professionally influence and negotiate with other technical leaders to arrive and implement the most optimum solution considering standards and project constraints · Mentor junior and other team members in Big Data technologies Required Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree · Minimum 10+ years in Java and related technology, application development experience · 3+ years of Hadoop development experience · 1+ years Talend development experience · 1+ years of prior Health Care Industry experience · Experience with Hortonworks, MapR · Experience with Big Data technologies: Hive, HBase, SQL, Big SQL(or similar tools) · Experience with Change Data Capture techniques · Experience with Unix shell scripting · Experience PIG, Oozie, SQOOP, Kafka, Spark Preferred Qualifications: · Experience working with Data warehousing and ETL Technology · Python/Scala/R · Spark (knowledge of advanced concepts) · Automation test frameworks for Hadoop ecosystems.
