#2075: Impossible examples for timezones --------------------------------------------+------------------------------- Reporter: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | Owner: [email protected] Type: task | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: 6.2 Component: BOOK | Version: SVN Severity: normal | Keywords: --------------------------------------------+------------------------------- The LFS book uses the "EST5EDT" and "Canada/Eastern" examples for "tzselect" output. However, it is impossible to achieve such output from "tzselect".
Well, actually possible by choosing option 11, "I want to specify the time zone using the Posix TZ format", in which case the instructions about /etc/localtime simply don't apply (try setting the timezone to "FOO5BAR" to see how the "cp" command fails). -- Ticket URL: <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/ticket/2075> BLFS Trac <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs> Beyond Linux From Scratch -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-book FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
