#2202: Nano-1.2.5 page points to nano-1.3.x in locale note --------------------------------------------+------------------------------- Reporter: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | Owner: [email protected] Type: defect | Status: new Priority: high | Milestone: 6.2.0 Component: BOOK | Version: SVN Severity: normal | Keywords: --------------------------------------------+------------------------------- Nano-1.2.5 page says:
The Nano package has major issues when used in a UTF-8 based locale. A development version is available which addresses these issues at http://www.nano-editor.org/dist/v1.3/nano-1.9.99pre2.tar.gz. This version can be installed with the same instructions shown below. See the Locale Related Issues page for a more general discussion of these problems. Why point to the old development version when Nano-2.0.0 exists and is stable? Please either change the link in the note and remove the word "development", or simply unconditionally upgrade Nano to 2.0.0 and remove the note. -- Ticket URL: <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/ticket/2202> BLFS Trac <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs> Beyond Linux From Scratch -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-book FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
