#2167: dhcp-3.0.5: and dhclient fails to update resolv.conf with null domain-name -------------------------------------------------------+-------------------- Reporter: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | Owner: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Type: defect | Status: assigned Priority: normal | Milestone: 6.2.0 Component: BOOK | Version: SVN Severity: normal | Resolution: Keywords: dhcp dhclient dhclient-script resolv.conf | -------------------------------------------------------+-------------------- Comment (by [EMAIL PROTECTED]):
I think I have a solution. We can make the upstream dns patch "Required" and update the optional iproute2 patch to work properly on the resultant file. Of course this should be explained in the text too. Then if someone applies the iproute2 patch without the dns patch and the patch doesn't apply or applies with offset/fuzz, then they are on their own. Does this seem like an appropriate way to go? -- Ticket URL: <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/ticket/2167#comment:5> BLFS Trac <http://wiki.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs> Beyond Linux From Scratch -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-book FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
