I believe all of Alexander's concerns above have been answered by time.
The configuring keyboard and mouse items need to be reworked to account
for HAL (if enabled) and typical hal policies created in the wiki (with
maybe one example in the book for each), but AFAIK, using the legacy
entries work for now, r7619. Closing. I'll add a new bug regarding HAL
input.
