A quick look suggests the sed will do the same thing, and is therefore
probably preferable, but I uploaded the patch on 17th October by the look
of it: [http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/patches/downloads/xine-lib/xine-
lib-1.1.15-c++_fixes-1.patch]
And yes, I ''assumed'' xine-lib will need the patch to compile with
gcc-4.3 because I got the patch as a "gcc-4.3 fix" when I hit the issue in
kde4 on gcc-4.2.4.
