Thanks for testing that. I've just done it here on a tcl-free box
(DESTDIR install), and confirm your results. Also noted that
{{{
--disable-tcl
}}}
is no longer recognized.
This is good news - smaller tarballs in future, and for me no need to
reinstate tcl into my build. And we get to use the recommended version.
Unfortunately, I still don't have a current system, so I can't attend to
this ticket at the moment.
