I was using 1.8.1 for a long time, but only using it occasionally. A
couple of days ago I discovered it no longer worked - couldn't open any of
the output modules. Strace showed it was trying to open
/liboutput_alsa.la. Google found a report on Arch, seems to be a bug with
libtool-2.2.6b. The bug report

is ignored, I think this was probably fixed for 1.10. 1.12.3 is current
and works nicely with LFS-6.6.
