With respect to the following page a couple of items are out-of-date:

For the "Build with Mesa" section, "--disable-xprint" is no longer a
configure options (thus not required here). Examining the configure script
also shows us that "--disable-dri2" is required along with "--disable-dri"
in order to build without GL.
For the "Fully True Type based setup" section, no symbol matching (or
close to matching) KDRIVESERVER exists in dixfonts.c (or any other .c in
that directory). Because the symbol no longer exists the 'sed' operation
is benign. It appears that this hint needs to be updated or removed
completely.
