For me, 7.6 on the r200 built fine (but regularly locked up the box in glx
operations). That was fixed by one of the 7.7-series releases. In the
absence of any info about why this didn't compile, I'm closing this
because we're now using 7.8.2 (and again, that builds and works for me on
an r200).
