I am working on some enhancement of jhalfs for the BLFS book. It is
important to be able to distinguish sect1 corresponding to
packages and others. One way is to use the fact that xreflabel gets
a version field for packages. However, tracking such a field is very hard
if the first character after the dash in the version field is a letter.
For
tidy, cdparanoia and psutils, I can manage it because the version
ENTITY has this same letter. That is not the case for libvpx. The v is
just added in the xreflabel. Actually, on upstream site the version
string does not contain the v, only the tarball name. So: is it possible
to remove the v in the xreflabel? That would imply to remove it in the
title as well...
