I agree that passing -opensource is a good idea. With that included, you
only have to reply yes, so it's possible to reprise the old-style way of
scripting it:

yes | ./configure -opensource -release ...
}}}
Thanks for reminding me that I need to comment in the wiki about how to
clean up the rubbish it scatters across /usr (if you build there instead
of /opt), and about sedding the .pc files to be usable (they point to the
build tree).
