Upon further review,
https://github.com/fontforge/fontforge/releases/download/20141230/fontforge-20141230.tar.gz
gets the right file name for me with wget. The new one is really large:
253M. The 20141126 version was only 120M. I have not unpacked it yet to
see what changed.
