Comment (by fo):
I am very suspicious something is wrong in my system or with this version.
Statistics:
{{{
Estimated disk space required: 438 MB (452 MB building and running the
quicktest, reputedly up to 500 MB additional for all tests)
Estimated build time: 1.8 SBU, using parallelism=4 (2.6 SBU building
and
running the quicktest, also using -j4, reputedly up to 110 SBU to run
all
tests)
}}}
The sizes are probably OK, I might have done a double count in the past.
But the SBU for the tests, additional less than 0.8 (testes also with -j1)
does not seem good.
For the first time, I noticed that the directory /usr/share/samba has not
been installed since 4.3.2. It only contains one sub-directory ''setup''
and nothing else. The ''setup'' directory contains what seems examples. It
is included in present tarball ''samba-4.3.4/source4/setup'', and the
latest which was installed (4.3.1) did not have the ''setup/tests'' sub-
directory, which has the scripts:
{{{
blackbox_group.sh blackbox_s3upgrade.sh
blackbox_newuser.sh blackbox_setpassword.sh
blackbox_provision-backend.sh blackbox_spn.sh
blackbox_provision.sh blackbox_upgradeprovision.sh
}}}
Latest, but not least (literally), six apparently very important programs
are not being compiled, consequently, not being installed:
{{{
/usr/bin/samba-tool
/usr/sbin/samba
/usr/sbin/samba_dnsupdate
/usr/sbin/samba_kcc
/usr/sbin/samba_spnupdate
/usr/sbin/samba_upgradedns
}}}
What am I missing?
PS: Stopping today. Will commit at least tw updates, early in the morning,
and will try to reply some posts.
