It seems mplayer released a stable version 1.3.0 in February. It builds
with current instructions, but playing a dvd requires libvdpau-va-gl.
The test dvd I used took about 30 seconds to start playing due to
libdvdread retrieving CSS keys. I'll add a note about that.
