After looking at a few of the terminus fonts, I wrote (re mapping multiple
codepoints to one glyph) -
"Unfortunately, where a font has been created from a BDF file (the method
in terminus and debian's console-setup such mapping of additional
codepoints onto an existing glyph is not usually done."
For some of the terminus fonts, there is a limited amount of mapping of
other glyphs, but in the cyrillic -cXXn variant the corresponding cyrillic
capitals have separate (visually similar) glyphs to the corresponding
latin glyphs (A,B,E,K,M,H,O,P,C,T,X), and similarly in the greek -7XXn
variant (A,B,E,Z,H,I,K,M,N,O,P,T,Y,X).
But I have been looking at the details of ter-v28n with psftools, and
discovered that there the corresponding cyrillic and greek codepoints
'''are''' mapped to the matching latin glyphs. The v28n (512 character)
versions are quite nice, although not always to my taste, and even I could
probably get along with them without too much annoyance.
I propose to reword the text above and add the missing parenthesis to now
read
"Unfortunately, where a font has been created from a BDF file (the method
in terminus and debian's console-setup) such mapping of additional
codepoints onto an existing glyph is not always done, although the
terminus ter-vXXn.psf fonts do this well."
