Yes, I made a hack in gst-plugins-ugly for the same reason.
For your hack, I think you mean 10000 not 100000.
You can try adding:

sed -e "/cdtext.h/a #undef LIBCDIO_VERSION_NUM\n#define
LIBCDIO_VERSION_NUM 10000" \
-i src/cdaudio/cdaudio-ng.cc
}}}
And see if that works.
