 Looking again at this, I realised that it too needs 'yes' if scripting.
 But I also now notice that the prerequisite Mozilla::CA is not installed.
 Looking at the docs, I read

     This will take the OpenSSL default CA store as the store for the
 trusted
     CA. This usually works on UNIX systems. If there are no certificates
 in
     the store it will try use Mozilla::CA which provides the default CAs
 of
     Firefox.

 So, ca-certificates ought to be a dependency.

 This applies both to the old 2.059 and to the new 2.060.
