I was going to say this was another example of "let's upgrade to an
unreleased version of a dependency".  According to the website, the
current release is still 1.14.0, the links to the daily snapshots are
labelled 1.15.0-ccyymmdd.

But I'll have to withdraw that: the link from the daily snapshot
page to github, and then to Releases, shows that 1.15.0 was released
on 23rd October.  Looks like the c-ares website is out of date.
