What's New in SeaMonkey 2.53.5.1
SeaMonkey 2.53.5.1 contains (among other changes) the following major
changes relative to SeaMonkey 2.53.5:
Fix advertising of av1 support bug 1490877.
Fix some issues found with supporting new macOS.
Various security and general platform fixes.
A very small diff compared to 2.53.5. Almost all of it is changes re macOS
(OSX as was) - heralded by adding a file
mozilla/dom/plugins/base/nsPluginTags.cpp.1616404.later (that mozilla
ticket was for adapting to future versions of what at the time was still
OSX), with correspoinding changes to rename OSXVersion fields to
macOSversion and other changes in various cocoa files. That part is of no
interest to us.
Unfortunately, the "Various security" part of the fixes includes changes
to mozilla/js/src/jit/IonBuilder.cpp and mozilla/js/src/jit/IonIC.cpp.
What is there now looks like what I remember was added to firefox in
78.4.1 and 83.0.1. I have to assume that their fixes in 2.53.5 were
inadequate :-)
