What you say here is not entirely true. ESP Ghostscript provides more to GNU Ghostscript than you are giving credit for. Here is a small excerpt from http://www.cups.org/ghostscript.php "Thanks to funding from EPSON, this has finally happened. Easy Software Products now produces maintenance updates of GNU Ghostscript under the name ESP Ghostscript. These updates incorporate bug fixes to the current GNU version of Ghostscript as well as the latest CUPS, GIMP-print, and other add-ons to Ghostscript. So, to me, the ESP version of GhostScript provides all of GNU's functionality plus more.
