Hi all,
For those of you that have Shadow and PAM installed, could you please
test something? Please test trying to 'su' to any user, with or without
the - on the su command, and *intentionally* type an incorrect password.
I get the following:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]: ~ > su
Password:
Segmentation fault
[EMAIL PROTECTED]: ~ > su - rml
Password:
Segmentation fault
Note this is on a machine using the LFS-GCC4 branch. Shadow is
version 4.0.11 and PAM is 0.80. Entering a correct password always
works as it should.
Thanks.
I just installed PAM on my GCC4 system to test this out (then
immediately recompiled shadow without PAM...). I do get a segfault when
typing the wrong password in su. I used PAM 0.80 and shadow 4.0.10.
I probably could have been a bit clearer...the su command when PAM was
installed will segfault with the wrong password, but su without PAM does
not.
