Hi all, Noted in the MySQL instructions is a message to run 'make test'.
I have *always* had trouble getting this suite to run with some error or another. I can't remember it ever once completing successfully for me. Here is today's error: ================================================================== gis-rtree [ pass ] gis [ pass ] grant [ pass ] grant2 [ fail ] Errors are (from /home/rml/build/mysql-4.1.12/mysql-test/var/log/mysqltest-time) : /home/rml/build/mysql-4.1.12/client/.libs/mysqltest: Could not open connection 'n1': Lost connection to MySQL server during query (the last lines may be the most important ones) Aborting: grant2 failed in default mode. To continue, re-run with '--force'. Ending Tests Shutting-down MySQL daemon Master shutdown finished Slave shutdown finished make: *** [test] Error 1 ================================================================== In the past, I have gone in and make some modifications to the tests so that it would continue on past certain points. However, after hours of testing, I was still never able to get them to run correctly all the way through. Has anyone ever got the tests to run successfully, by just doing what is shown in the book (make test)? -- Randy rmlscsi: [GNU ld version 2.15.94.0.2 20041220] [gcc (GCC) 3.4.3] [GNU C Library stable release version 2.3.4] [Linux 2.6.10 i686] 10:33:01 up 132 days, 10:06, 3 users, load average: 1.09, 1.07, 0.93 -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
