Cairo at this point requires the libpixman library, so this package
should probably be added to BLFS as well.
I've been following the cairo mailing list for some time now, as it
appears to be being used by a number of projects (and Mozilla/Firefox
are working on integrating its functionality too). It therefore looks
as if it's inevitably going to be required in BLFS. libpixman was
merged into (and is now being maintained[1] in) cairo's source tree so
it shouldn't be required as a separate library (it's in the 'pixman'
directory in the 0.9.2 tarball).
