If you've followed the exact LFS SVN instructions and I didn't misread
them, it can't work correctly for you. You probably don't use any kernel
modules for hotplug devices as they won't work with the current
instructions.

Very probably the only problem here is the - in some of my other mails
mentioned - missing link between udev and hal. Fix that and see whether
it works.
