Hey Guys, In chapter 3 of BLFS, a reference is made to the LiveCD project. I have a suggestion and a question on what is currently there.
First off, the users are pointed to anduin to grab the iso if they want it. While that definitely works, perhaps it would be generally better to point them to the LiveCD download page where they can choose a possibly geographically closer mirror? http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/livecd/download.html Secondly, after that paragraph there's this line: "In the future, the build instructions for this CD-ROM will be presented, but they are not available at the time of this writing." I was a little surprised at reading that - I believe that's the first I'd heard of it... Not that there's anything wrong with that, I just didn't realize anything of the sort was planned. The build system of the official LiveCDs are (and have been since it has been a project) publicly available. Is that what you meant, or did you mean step-by-step instructions on *how* to use the official scripts, or step-by-step instructions on how to make your own CD? A little clarification on what was meant, please. -- JH -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/blfs-dev FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/faq.html Unsubscribe: See the above information page
