This is my fault. I had initially put in popt as a required
dependency for libgnomeprint when David Jensen suggested it.
However, then somebody else (I think, but I may be mistaken on
this) mentioned that it was not required, but only optional.

And in the last update of libgnomeprint (to the 2.12.1) version,
I moved it from a required to an optional dependency (with the
note about only for the test programs). Apparently, I didn't do
a good enough research job, as looking at the configure script
it does appear to list -lpopt in "Tools libs" (or something like
that).

Anyway, I will fix libgnomeprint right now and put popt back to
a required dependency again. Sorry about that, Andy, and thanks
for bringing it up so that we get the book right.
