Well the new modular X has been released. Perhaps its a bit early, but
Damnit, just looked about two hours ago and they hadn't put up the final cut.
I took a look at http://xorg.freedesktop.org/releases/X11R7.0/src/ and don't know how we are going to approach it. It looks like there are over 100 separate packages. The Developers guide is at http://wiki.x.org/wiki/ModularDevelopersGuide#head-684630121326fbd838ded9c877c7b4f01d0bbe3b Do we have anyone on the list that has started to look at this?
Yep, I started to, but stopped short. Just cvs'd up from head and the build.sh script is still not finding all it needs. Was going to do the jhbuild version (now that I can tell the difference between jhalfs and jhbuild ;-) ), but hadn't got to it yet. pkg-config will be a required dep. Also, I ran into a problem with a misnamed header - XAuth.h/Xauth.h. Certainly not a big deal, but was still broken after RC4 in cvs head (I probably should have figured out the tags/branches first and pulled from there). Oh well, released packages should be easier anyway.
