Hi all,

It's probably a stretch making this into a -dev question, as it is
probably more support than dev, but because the book might be missing
a dependency (Cdrtools) somewhere, I'm squeezing this into -dev.

I cannot see where KDE has a CD recording utility. I do not have
Cdrtools installed on my current test build platform, and I did
install much of KDE (well, the base stuff, kdegraphics, and
kdemultimedia) and there doesn't appear to be anything on the menu,
nor does it appear there is anything in Konqueror.

I can't help but think that KDE would have some sort of CD recording
utility similar to GNOME's Nautilus Cd-Burner. You know, a drag and
drop type utility where if you drag files into an area of the file
manager, it allows you to create a data CD by simply clicking somewhere
after you drag and drop files.

This would require mkisofs and cdrecord (usually these are the tools
used), but the Cdrtools package doesn't seem to be listed as a
dependency for *any* KDE package.

So, exactly how do you create Data CDs (I'm not talking about music
CDs) in the KDE graphical environment. What is the KDE tool to use?
