Btw, here's how I had intendend to test this issue. My LFS email is set
up such that I check it both from work and at home using Thunderbird.
The client at work is on a Windows machine and downloads new messages
but keeps a copy on the server - it doesn't flush the mailbox. My
machine at home is an LFS build, with the same version of Thunderbird.
This client however, downloads all messages and flushes the mailbox.
Suffice to say that whatever emails I see at work, I have a copy of them
at home, too.

I was going to open up a new, fake ticket and upload Alexander's patch
to it on the Windows machine. Then, at home, upload the same attachment
from the LFS box and view the differences. This should verify if the
problem is Trac or Windows (though I'm 95% certain that it is Windows).
