No, I don't think. But that is just my opinion. Others may think differently. The reason we have the warning is because if you are reinstalling Shadow due to PAM being reinstalled, many of the pam.d files are changed. This is where the chance for goofup is going to happen, and then the potential to be locked out. Re-installing Shadow because Cracklib was installed is just a rebuild of the Shadow tools. I can't see how it could go so wrong that you become locked out.
