I am seeing a warning from the BLFS bootscript for Samba, when I power
down my machine. This happens when I have not succesfully acquired an
ipadress from a DHCP server.
If I stop samba with the samba bootscript (ie: /etc/rc.d/init.d/samba
stop), then I am seeing a failed message, but not the big red piece of
text that I seem when the script is being run during halt.
If I run halt, this is what I get:
FAILURE:
You should not be seeing this error message.
It means that an error tooksed: -e expression #1, char 8: unknown option
to 's'
4.
If you're able to.. etc.
It is the daemon nmbd to be more precise. If I stop samba with the
script once, while not completely halting the system, and restart it,
then nmbd will not cause the above message to appear when I do halt the
system after that.
