Perhaps SANE installs these rules by default, but libgphoto2 didn't when
I installed it previously. Also, I don't know if it would be the best
way when the explanation about vendor id and product number is so simple
and concise. Perhaps people *should* be made to write such a simple
rule. If more things they have to deal with, the fewer things are
considered voodoo to them.
No rules are installed by libgphoto2. They might give some docs about
creating the rules, but I don't recall right now.
Probably just +1ing what's already agreed on, but I'd like to see the
vendor ID example in the book with instructions for gathering that
info.
