Slightly off-topic here, but you can also generate a HAL fdi file from
the print-usb-usermap tool. It's suggested in the README, I think.
Here's the command I'm using.
/usr/lib/libgphoto2/print-usb-usermap --fdi > \
/usr/share/hal/fdi/information/10freedesktop/10-camera-libgphoto2.fdi
Oh, wait. That was libgphoto2-2.1.99. Might not work on the old one.
Maybe someone will find it useful anyway.
