A sentence about the php.ini file on the PHP page in BLFS svn reads:
  This file modifies the default behavior of PHP if no /etc/php.ini is
  used and all configuration settings fall to the defaults.

This doesn't really make much sense. I assume what was meant was
something like:
  This file modifies the default behavior of PHP. If no /etc/php.ini is
  used, all configuration settings fall to the defaults.
