I'm sorry I interjected. Personally, I don't care at all whether it goes into the book or not. I just assumed fortune would produce quips like the Texas one you showed earlier for the xfce tips, which doesn't seem very useful. (Of course, for my own system, I would take a funny and entertaining tips feature over a useful one any day.) Then I realized it would be using a different source for text with the supplied command.
