I can tell you that I have dbus-1.0.1 with the glib, python, qt3, and
qt4 bindings built. Both Kde-3.5.6 and Gnome-2.18 work fine. Other then
that, I don't have an in depth analysis of what in Kde uses D-BUS. I do
know that Kde-Base can optionally use D-BUS though.
