Only one package (GSview) comes to my mind. It is normally GTK1-based, and 
mixing Glib1 and Glib2 in one application normally leads to crashes due to 
symbol collisions between libraries. But I have not tested this package.

IMHO the best course of actions here would be to do what distros do: drop 
libgs.so, drop GSview, switch to Evince as a lightweight PS/PDF viewer 
(possibly patched in order to avoid GNOME dependencies, see 
http://mirror.linux.org.mt/mirror/ubuntu/pool/main/e/evince-gtk/evince-gtk_0.5.2-0ubuntu7.diff.gz).
