Hi all, I'm thinking about commenting out the Galeon package from the book for the 6.3 release as it won't build against new Gecko engines. Though there's some patches out there, nothing is recent and the NEWS file in the Galeon tarball clearly identifies it supports Firefox-1.5 and Gecko-1.8. Says it will build against the Gecko-1.9, but functionality is highly reduced.
FWIW, I could not build Galeon-2.0.5 using recent Firefox or Thunderbird. It craps out trying to compile mozilla-embed-shell.cpp. Current Mozilla products use the Gecko-1.9 engine. If there's no solution for this, I'm not sure there is anything else to do other than drop Galeon.
