Looking at the problem a little further, it seems the versions of
uu{de,en}code installed by GMime are broken. An autotools patch for
this should be created for BDB and sent upstream. It is a bit more
difficult to fix this in OOo. I don't have a solver tree laying around
to check it right now, but I'll start clearing some disk space for one
tonight. Really, GMime should be fixed to be compatible IMO, or the
binaries renamed and calls to them renamed before the build.
